Services are held in the main Church:
Sunday morning services start at
9 AM (There is also an 11am service at St John's Church Kirkby Woodhouse)
Morning prayer is at 9am on Tuesdays. Similar services are held at 9am at St. John's Kirkby Woodhouse on Wednesdays and St. Mary's Newstead Village on Thursdays.
On the first Thursday of the month there is a communion service in the church hall at 11.30am
Any additional services will be announced on our notice board and on our website.
Weddings
Our church offers a traditional and beautiful setting for your wedding or marriage blessing.

Events & Concerts
We are very proud to support a range of regular church and community groups who meet in the church or church hall.
We are also starting to host more lunchtime and evening concerts.

At present, the guidelines state that it remains possible to worship communally, but this is a matter for each incumbent, in consultation with church officials, to decide what is appropriate in the interests of safety.
Therefore, after a great deal of consideration Hazel and all the churchwardens have decided that because the latest strain of the Covid-19 virus is so transmissible, public worship in all our churches is temporarily paused to keep everyone safe. We will, however, continue to open the churches for funeral services. This is in line with many places of worship in the area. We will undertake a review at the end of February.
